13 January 2009

. . . is it over yet? . . .

. . . yes . . .
. . . Y.E.S it is . . .
. . . when you finally take it down . . .
. . . "not cute" . . .
{if you know the choreography to that little mini-cheer, go ahead and do it}
. . . as of today . . .
{see my red sweats and me in every ornament?}
. . . tuesday 13 january 2009 . . .
. . . christmas {2008} is finally over . . .
. . . and i even solved
the mystery of
the dark band mid-tree . . .
{which is not so cute naked/topless, is it?}
. . . i'll figure out
how to make sure
that plug stays
snugly connected
next year . . .
. . . i'm just glad to say that
nineteen days
post-holiday . . .
. . . everything is finally tucked away . . .
. . . and hopefully,
all this peppermint cheer
will survive another
un-airconditioned summer
in the old storage room . . .
. . . FYI: this final burst of energy was
most likely fueled by the fact that
cox cable's television guide
showed last night's episode of
the "batchelor
was 90 minutes long . . .
. . . that's all that recorded . . .
. . . yes . . .
. . . i missed
the.most.dramatic.rose.ceremony.ever . . .
. . . good thing al gore invented the internet . . .
. . . so i could watch it online this morning . . .

No worries... my Christmas might not be all the way put away yet so I win for biggest slacker! And considering we put it up early this year, I'm thinkin about just leaving it up. V-day is reds and whites and pinks, so my stuff will go perfectly with it :) Wha! Way more fun to put up than take down.

Sorry for you missing the "batchelor", I haven't stayed up with that one, but holy cow, was the biggest loser intense last night or what? So proud of you for getting the Christmas down. I agree with Amanda P. Valentines Day is so red and white. It just works ya know!

Sad to say it's over, too! 11 months is just too far away.

Oh, and hey- why can't I see your posts on Google Reader anymore?

How fashionable to dress to match the taking down activity. I am very jealous of how tidy your storage room is and yes, the 90 minute cut-off really stunk. Thank goodness I was cleaning the bathroom upstairs and had the tv on to keep me company. Why do I think that Stephanie (not you) look old, you on the other hand look fantastic :-). Why isn't Shalae on that show, she would totally win.

I'm afraid I am the biggest slacker...my Christmas is only a little bit down...It is so hard to put it all away...I ♥ Christmas! Plus it's a pain in the butt to take it down...why is it so much more fun to put it up? The biggest loser was awesome and I was so sad for the grandpa...but goota love my next door neighbor Dane...Holy Schmoly lifting 900 pounds...good grief! You are amazing Stephanie so organized and always have it together! My verification word is loplip...I just thought that was funny!

Your storage room looks way too organized. You don't even have to put your tree in a box? Kenny would love that. It took all 4 of us to get our boxed tree up into our attic. I'm afraid it won't make it up there next year. I'm trying to remember the drama during the rose ceremony. He is so nice!

I'm with everyone...your storage room is probably the most organized one I have ever seen. I may add that 95% of the stuff in that room is just Christmas stuff! The other 5% is Dad's golf clubs covered in dust. The dust will be brushed off soon by him, I have a feeling!
