. . . dwew & bwad . . .

. . . fwiends for life . . .
. . . back when this photo was taken,
both boys had a little twouble
saying their "r"s . . .

. . . which was quite endearing
since they were named
drew romney and brad sherwood . . .
. . . also endearing is the fact that they wore
{almost exclusively}
gymboree and osh kosh b'gosh outfits . . .

. . . and awesome bowl cuts . . .

. . . most of the time . . .

. . . they were pretty much inseparable . . .

. . . graduating together
{at the top of their class, no doubt}
from peggy's house preschool . . .

. . . we taught them early on
to have a healthy appreciation
for el charro . . .

. . . but we're not sure
when they turned into
gansta dr. suess characters . . .

. . . they shared a
{meeting formerly known as}
farewell on easter sunday
two years ago . . .

. . . and a going away dinner . . .

. . . where they got to take their pick of ties
their young men leaders
and bishopric were sporting . . .

. . . and they posed with six of their seven sisters . . .
{can you tell the romneys and the sherwoods had family pictures earlier that day?}

. . . they even managed to find each other
at the mtc in provo . . .
. . . which was amazing
since brad was supposed to go
straight to the mtc in brazil . . .

. . . thank heaven for visa delays! . . .

. . . or maybe not . . .

. . . today they once again spoke together
in a meeting formerly known as
a missionary homecoming . . .
. . . they are wonderful young men . . .
. . . with strong testimonies . . .
{i could tell ~ even though they were speaking spanish and portuguese}

. . . and their moms were super proud of them . . .
. . . fyi ~ "friends for life" is a great program . . .
. . . vicki and i met in eighth grade
and we're going on forty years of friendship . . .
. . . i highly recommend it! . . .

Thanks for the memories!
When our family was all together on Sunday we were talking about lots of fun times. They (and we) think it was the best neighborhood EVER to "grow up" in. No wonder, with lots of good friends like you!

I just loved this walk down memory lane. I was even there for part of it! Very nice boys/men they turned out to be and of course I love their moms like the sisters they are to me. Both families have etched out places in our friendship[ book for sure. I love the neighborhood too!!!

Oh My Goodness, I feel like those pictures were taken yesterday.
Those were two cute boys.
Now they are fabulous young men, you both have a right to be so proud. Love those boys without "r's".

Why is it that EVERY picture of Drew & Brad taken when they were little makes me die laughing? Their gymboree outfits, and laying in Drew's shelves, and dressing up (where is the Darla & Alfalfa shots?)... so stinkin' cute, I swear.
And the picture from their farewell dinner looks like we got one big family picture taken of both families, combined. I forgot we chose the same wardrobe! Kinda funny.

Still can't believe they're home, and legal, and old and crap. I don't like this growing up stuff!

I remember these days like they were yesterday. I agree...Harmony Park is the best neighborhood ever. Find that Darla & Alfalfa picture, please. It's a classic.
