I will miss him and the snappy conversations we always had with each other. I believe he was even more sarcastic than me. I owe him thanks for introducing me to Mike up at a young adult camp years ago...even if he refered to him as "bubbles". I'm grateful he taught you the love and art of planting flowers. We all are the recipients of your beautiful yard each year because of that. And I'm glad you got some of that sarcasm from him too....it makes for great conversations and emails! Big luvs, Shellene
I was so saddened to read this in the paper this morning. I am so very sorry for your loss. Have been thinking of you off and on all day today. Sending prayers of peace and comfort for you and your family.
i will miss him too! I loved the animated conversations about everything from Theater/media to politics to the human condition. He always treated me like i was a favorite with him. Turns out we all felt that way. He was one of my favorites. My love and prayers.
Dear Steph, It's hard to sit here and write about a man as special as Whiplash Jack.He was such a crucial part of my life getting out on a mission so many years ago, introducing Shellene to me, and so many many years of the back and forth banter he was so good at, as so much fun to participate with. Word are inadequate to express my feelings. So happy for him and sad for those left behind. Just know he was special to all us Priest in the 19th ward.I enjoyed listening to your brothers talks. Milt and I had to sing the Farmer Pickin's chorus when he home taught me Sunday.I told him to tell Mom and Dad Hi when he saw them, we'll see them all soon enough. Love you guys. Hope your Mom is doing OK. Love you all...Jones
Stephanie and family, So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. He did so much good. I appreciated all the work he did as our bishop of the Mesa, Az 19th ward. I still have wonderful memories of the roadshows he wrote, directed, designed and built sets and props for. They were so fun! Deanna Conrad Scanlon

I will miss him, too. He was such a wonderful man and friend. The good news is that I see lots of his qualities in you.
