. . . six/eighteen . . .

. . . twenty-five per cent . . .
. . . one/fourth . . .

. . . six months down, eighteen to go . . .
. . . i wonder if elder romney
is burning a tie today . . .

. . . i kind of wish he'd
just
give one away
to some nice young man
in mexico, instead . . .

. . . the story of the chain . . . did you see it there to the right of my old-school phone? {yes, i know it blends in with the outdated wallpaper} but those lovely links of red, white and green {the colors of the mexican flag} were there to greet me after my flight back from utah six months ago today. amanda made this countdown chain so we could mark the progress of drew's mission. {she might have had a pink one exactly like it while brent was in thailand several years ago. during that time, she spent the summer at BYU Hawaii and when she returned home, she happily tore off eight links - one . by . one . by . one . . .} anyway, this one used to have two full loops, now it's down to one-and-a-half. yippee . . .

Here's to 6 months! Has it gone fast or not? (I can't decide...)

Apparently I am 6 years old, because I love making paper chains. But you love it and you know it!!!

Lets hear it for April 2010. We love Drewski.

As impressed as I am with the chain, I think I'm more envious of your Costco/Sams ribbon rack. I have three of those that you have, and am always trying to sneak more into the cart when Philip isn't looking. And how are those all held up? I think I need what you have, and I need it right about now.

1/4 done! I don't know about you, but I think it's gone by fast! I love how we can use General Conference as a "6-month mark". So, here's to 3 more general conferences until he's home!

vicki: i'd have to say mostly not.

mel: tip ~ go to costco alone! a metal dowel holds up those spools of ribbon.

amber: actually, drew left on the 2nd of april, and his first weekend in the MTC was general conference. so after this weekend, only two more general conferences to go, and then, hopefully, he can watch the next one at home with us.
