i need a little christmas . . .

. . . right this very minute . . .. . . first things first . . .

. . . the nativities . . .

. . . this one by none other than fisher price . . .

. . . my favorite thing about this set is

the angel perched

right atop the stable . . .
{and the fact that my grandkids love to play with it}

. . . this set was a

young women's gift

for amelia a few years ago . . .

{perhaps it should live at her house now}

. . . mary is my favorite figurine . . .
. . . i love the way
she looks down her baby . . . . . . this mary engelbreit
set just tickles me . . .
. . . it's little kids dressed up
for pete's sake . . .

. . . i love the stable

and the fact that

mary looks just like

mary engelbreit herself . . .

{sorry about the blurriness}
{i think i need mary's glasses}

. . . this set was a

gift from my parents

many years ago . . .

. . . it has lots of pieces . . .

i remember being so surprised

that it had three camels

{also surprising is the fact that

we seem to be watching over it so closely}

. . . here is my favorite set ~
the piece de resistance . . .
{sorry i don't know how to type in french}
the year that i bought this set
i started displaying it in october
is that too early?
i think not

. . . my favorite figure

in this set

is joseph . . .

. . . i love the lantern

and the staff . . .

. . . and please look at this

kind, loving, patient face . . .

. . . it feels good to start decorating . . . . . . and in keeping with

the fact that

it's still only november,

i'm so thankful

for the real meaning

of christmas . . .

what are you thankful for?

I'm thankful for the true meaning of Christmas. I am thankful for YOU, your love for Christmas & your blog! I hope you post pictures of the rest of your house when it's all "Christmas-fied". Or is it already? Knowing you...it probably is!

I can't keep up with you...I'm still taking down all of my Halloween decorations! I am thankful for people like you, who set wonderful examples and accomplish so much! And I am thankful to be in Harmony Park Ward, for this holiday season, and especially for my family! Post pictures of your house when you have it done for Christmas, I would LOVE to see it!

I am thankful that we have a time set aside that helps us remember we need to stop and think about the things we are thankful for. I am thankful to be a wife & mother, and especially a GRAMMY! I am thankful for good friends who are such good examples and inspire me to do better.(thanks steph)

I am thankful that you are posting pics of your Christmas festive-ness. 'Cause I hear rumors that your house is off the hizity-hook durin' the holidays!

I love the nativities. I too, am oh-so thankful for the true meaning of Christmas. I'm grateful for lots of things; so I blogged about it...

Yes, I would like to have that nativity to put at my own house. But, for now, you may keep it. One day when my house is as cute as yours, maybe I will ask for it back for reals. Until then, please display it with all your Christmas crap (and I mean that in the most loving way). I LOVE our house at Christmas. As Tyler says, it looks like a boutique. True that! Love it! Love you too!
