Two words....Not worthy! I put my hand over my heart and face East when I think of you as a Decorator and Homemaker. I loved the post! I was inspired to get Christmas up @ our house, but holy cow, such and job and our shtuff is really just shtuff. I want to be there @ your house visiting and feeling the aura.....plus...uh... is Winter Wonderland (by James Taylor) playing in the background? Aaaahhhhhh!

LOVE the decorations! Do you by chance remember where you found the white ornaments on your mini Christmas tree? I've been looking all over for some so I can paint polka dots on them. Yay! I'm so excited for Brent and Amanda! But, I'm kind of sad we don't get to hang out at the Romney household anymore. :(

I WILL copy those cutest candy topiaries EVER someday!!! How cute.
When did you do those?

I love your house so much.

I know I always ask "where did you get that?".. so I am gonna ask again.
Where did you get that wh/bl damask looking plate or whatever that is on the table? in the entry way?

Love everything & Thanks for the shout out!

Are you feeling better yet?
Hope so!

Okay, sorry to be a chatty stalker, especially since clearly everyone else thinks the same way I do, but OH MY GOODNESS!!! I honestly love that you get totally in to decorating! I have to keep telling myself that it takes years and years to acquire all of the things that I want, and you have further reaffirmed that for me!

Your house is incredible, and I love how it is so well put together, you know, doesn't just look like there are a bunch of old stuff just thrown on a tree...or something. Yes yes, you are amazing!

Also, continuing my chatty stalker-ness, my mom has the same advent calendar! And hers too has all of the tiny little blanket stitching around all of the ornaments, which is amazing! However, we can no longer claim that we have all of the ornaments, so I think we start putting them up on like the 4th or 5th. Clearly it was loved!

Anyhoo, if you are ever selling your house with everything, and I mean absolutely EVERYTHING in it, please tell me first and I'll buy it!

Sorry Melissa! The house will be left to me in the will! Sorry to break it to ya! I love that house that I grew up in for 21 years and 3 months of my life. It rocks my world! Especially at Christmastime!

Sue said...

BTW...I was at The Great Indoors today, and saw a plate you could add to your collection....A snowman platter, with black polka dots....I immediately thought of you...oh, and it looked pink to me...no pink for your Christmas decor, now that totally shocks me!!My eyes are getting bad in my old age, your red appeared pink to me, and it didn't seem odd, because it was the Romneys....I really thought it was all pink!! Thanks for the correction!!

You don't even know how many people at the scrapbook store told me to look at your blog because your Christmas tree was so amazing. And none of them have the last name of Hamblin. Amazingness.
