. . . tmi . . .

. . . warning: you may wish to
avert children's eyes . . .
. . . my poor husband is
{to say the least} hurting . . .
. . . imagine my surprise, then,
when i heard him say today . . .
"you should take a picture of this
& put it on your internet"
{i'm pretty sure he meant blog, but,
pain medication, blah, blah, blah . . .}
. . . that suggestion
& the fact that he's already shown it
to several friends in person {right, girls?} . . .
. . . led to this photo shoot . . .
. . . let me explain what it all means . . .
. . . the lower right owie
{the really yucky one}
is the site from which
the original battery was removed . . .
. . . on the left
{x marks the spot}
is where the new battery
was implanted . . .
. . . the smaller bandage is
where they made an incision
to anchor the newly implanted leads . . .
. . . & that, my friends, is the
END
of this spinal cord stimulator 101 lesson . . .
. . . honestly, you know you see
at least this much
every time michael phelps swims . . .

How about a complete lesson on what is going on with his back and what they're doing to treat it with these "batteries?"

Oh how I love Bill being compared to Michael Phelps, both champions in their own challenges. May the "Force" be with him now as he heals and sets the "Gold Standard" for endurance. Seriously!

Ouch!! Hope he is better REALLY soon - and then he can start swimming laps in the backyard to train for 2012! Is it just me or does Michael Phelps not remind you of Graham Hatch?

Hope Bill is feeling some progress!? We're all hoping for that. We've always told Graham he looks like Michael Phelps - but he doesn't see it. It's the jaw - but that's different now. Loved the lesson.(101)

The girls were taken aback by the owies on Grandpa's back, for sure. LOL...Michael Phelps...true dat. Love Peg's analogy!

Ouch! I hope he is doing better and this procedure does something! I would be cracking up if someone told me "you should put that on your internet". That is so funny! It reminds me of when grandmas & grandpas (older ones) refer to any and all school dances as "the prom".

That looks SO painful.. I'm sorry that Billy has to endure that.. or your family for that matter! Hope the surgery works!:)

Bless his ♥ or his tail??? Dang that looks so painful and I also liked what Peggy said and US TOO...watching Phelps we all said wow he looks just like Graham...isn't he somethin'? Are you feeding Bill the calories Michael eats to get him better? Truthfully, I really hopes this helps with all he and you have been through...and I ♥ the stuff you put on "the internet!"

Oh daddy-o, I hope with all my heart that this is the answer to our 3.5 years of prayer. We can't wait to have our old, silly dad/grampa back!!!

Sweet crack, by the way.
