. . . it's hip to be square {times 529} . . .

. . . i survived teaching
the young women yesterday . . .
{i bet you wish you had that cool silk tree!}
. . . in spite of how it looks here . . .
. . . the girls paid attention & participated . . .
. . . i think it went okay & it's over! . . .
. . . btw ~ we have darling girls in our ward . . .
. . . so when last i posted about
this "distraction" . . .
. . . i was sewing rows together making pairs . . .
. . . then i sewed pairs together . . .
. . . making pairs of pairs . . .
. . . then i sewed pairs of pairs together . . .
. . . making . . .
. . . you see where i'm going with this . . .
. . . it turned out super scrappy . . .
. . . remember back in the day
when we used to hang wallpaper? . . .
. . . you'd spend DAYS papering the walls . . .
. . . then half an hour slapping up the border . . .
. . . which made all the difference in the world . . .
. . . same with quilting . . .

Me likey. Good job, Ma! Just in time for V-Day. Are you hanging it where you hang your peppermint quilt during Christmas time? Those Taylor, Shepherd & Stahle girls (the only ones I recognize from my HPW days) are NOT allowed to be YW. They are supposed to be little tiny girls. They're beautiful young ladies!

I am in love with this quilt. I am sure that I need the pattern. Can I come over now and get a lesson? That is like make me cry cute. I have a lesson coming up. Can I distract myself with this same activity? I didn't get the word like you did about the fat quarter exchange, but I probably have plenty of those colors. Still it rocks. Love the post and the quilt.

Stephanie you are the woman! I love this. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. I had to tell everyone on my blog today about it. I really love how you framed them 4 together like that. It is hip to be square. I love squares. Super super job!

And those girls look like such wonderful YW.

Oh, the things that you miss when you haven't had time to checks blog posts.
Love the quilt, it's adorable!
I think I need some blogging lessons. Seriously, you are my blogging hero! I was up till one in the morning trying to do my latest post. Ready to pull my hair out, literally. Why does it look one way when you preview it, and totally another when you post? When you go back to edit it, it looks like you fixed the problem, but when it posts, it's still the same. No wonder I don't post very often!
And being somewhat of a perfectionist doesn't help.
(Thanks for the whine)Sorry I probably exceeded my comment limit.
