. . . cheto is still at our house . . .
. . . working his painting magic . . .
. . . i'm actually feeling
slightly high today . . .
. . . refinishing countertops
is stinky business! . . .
. . . so, colby and i
needed to hit the road . . .
. . . we took a much needed
trip to deseret industries
with a yukon full of stuff . . .
{lately i've been frequenting goodwill with my donations ~
they're so close to home.
but i was feeling a little guilty about my recent d.i. boycott ~
what with them being owned by our church and all ~
even though the last time i went there,
they had the nerve to reject
my no-longer-needed christmas decorations.
today, though, we had time to kill.}
. . . on the way back,
we stopped off
at the temple . . .
. . . just to walk around and,
hopefully, wear colby out . . .
. . . so he'd take
a long winter's nap . . .
{i don't like parks and i absolutely hate sand!}
. . . turns out today was
"finish taking down christmas lights"
day at the temple . . .
. . . lots of cherry pickers
and other heavy machinery
to oooooh and aaaaaah about . . .
. . . but colby's favorite spot
was this one ↓
on the east side of the temple . . .
. . . he must have gone
up the ramp . . .
. . . and down the stairs . . .
. . . approximately one billion times . . .
. . . he also heard me say . . .
{about that same number of times}
. . . "stay on the sidewalk, bud" . . .
{he had a great time,
but his nap still only lasted fifty minutes}
