. . . give, oh, give . . .

. . . a l • o • n • g time ago, i made this quilt . . .
. . . you've seen it before . . .
. . . here's a secret about it, though . . .
{besides that whole carpal tunnel thing}
. . . it takes a lot of time . . .
. . . and i don't even want to think about the money . . .
. . . to come up with all those different fabrics . . .
. . . we had a fun fabric exchange . . .
. . . which, i admit, was
a great head start
in building my novelty print collection . . .
. . . but, still . . .
. . . whoa . . .
. . . anyway, the thing is . . .
. . . most of the fabrics that made it into i spy . . .
. . . really aren't fabrics that i want
to keep scraps of in my "stash" . . .
. . . case in point . . .
. . . chicken heads . . .

. . . some are cute and totally me . . .
. . . like these grammy glasses, for instance . . .

. . . how about this fun little
{slightly immodest}
cheerleader? . . .

. . . cheetahs, anyone? . . .

. . . various forms of transportation . . .

. . . a grand piano . . .

. . . your ever-popular banana bunches . . .

. . . and multi-colored apples . . .

. . . hot dogs, complete with ketchup, mustard and floating relish? . . .

. . . fourth of july commemorative fabric . . .
. . . including backwards flag . . .
{and sparkles}

. . . a pepperminty-ish hot air balloon . . .

. . . and every quilt needs an astronaut . . .

. . . and nice, sharp crayons . . .

. . . fwip fwopth . . .
. . . as tate would say . . .

. . . and this little gal . . .
{same problem as previous cheerleader}
. . . she's a favorite of mine . . .

. . . so i've been busy . . .
. . . fussy cutting . . .
{selective cutting of fabric based on the fabric's pattern or design}
. . . 4-inch charms . . .
{they'll be 3 1/2 inches finished}
. . . and i'm giving them away . . .
. . . 4 sets of 50+ squares . . .
. . . i know you're thinking to yourself . . .
. . . "oh, steph, you really don't have to do that" . . .
. . . and i'm thinking right back . . .
. . . "i know ~ that's what makes me so nice!" . . .
{name that musical}
. . . here's the catch . . .
. . . you have to pinky swear
you'll actually make a little quilt . . .
{google image "i spy quilt" for lots of samples/ideas}
. . . that's fair, eh? . . .
. . . leave a comment to win . . .
. . . and check back on saturday . . .
{i hope you didn't think i was actually giving away my quilt!}

Seriously?? Amazing offer, Steph!I have secretly coveted this quilt of yours ever since you used it as a prop for a talk you gave in Relief Society! I've wanted to make one ever since I saw your gorgeous version...so maybe this is the kick in the pants I need to actually make one for my kiddos.It would be a fun variation of the game we play in the car when we drive to meet daddy while he's working in Cali. Thanks for the chance to win!

I have a great idea... I'll win the fabrics & then you can "help" me make a quilt for Elliott. Sound like a plan?

I love your quilt too, but promise you won't do any further damage to your wrist and already numb fingers! AS nice as you are, we need your hands and brains and maybe your gizzard for the quilt group. So save yourself sistah. Still, that is what makes you so nice and "Wicked".

Oh my! You are amazing to do this for someone. I would so LOVE this charm pack for several reasons. First, I read your blog everyday. You are an inspiration to me. Second, I am going to be a first time grandma in February and this would be a great project for the little one. Third, I am taking the quilt class you told me about at Zoe's (just so that I could be like you!!) I could go on and on but I'm sure there's a word limit. Thanks so much!!!

I just recently finished a values quilt from swapped charms. But I love novelty fabrics so getting the opportunity at that much cute-ness would be fabulous.

You know I'll make the quilt because that's all I do all day (that's what my kids and husband think). Anywho, imagine that I don't have one of those fabrics in my stash. I know it's hard to believe. I must say my personal favorite is the flip flops. Remember when we could call them thongs without thinking of nasty underware.

WICKED! As you know, I've expressed interest in making me one of these beauties. And no worries about carpal tunnel. I've already had surgery on both hands to fix that. Add my name to the list of those who would like to win your WICKED giveaway!

Thanks for the lesson in commenting :) Hopefully this will work. I would love to win the fabric for my daughter even though she is in college she loves to quilt.

I've heard it said
that people come into our lives for a reason
bringing something we must learn
and we are led
to those who help us most to quilt
IF WE LET THEM
and we "thank(?) them in return
so, if I am chosen to receive those blocks of cotton
I know I will use them... to be less rotton!
And maybe some day
my grandkids will lay
snuggled in this Harmonious quilt and know,
because of you in this world
we all have been changed... for good.
