fright night . . .

. . . a halloween pictorial . . .
. . . out of hundreds of
trick~or~treaters tonight . . .
. . . these three were
{in my own humble, yet correct, opinion}
the cutest . . .

. . . as soon as annie
got to grammy's house,
she was on the job
handing out candy
to any & all who came by . . .
{some moronic teenage boy [who was, by the way,
far too old to be trick~or~treating]
said, "thanks, napolean" when she gave him some candy.
idiot!}

. . . you know annie ~
she's such a helper
& always eager to please . . .

. . . she played the role perfectly
with her angelic little grin . . .

. . . though angelic is hardly
the word i'd use to
describe her counterpart . . .
. . . the devilish miss hannigan,
who also played her part to a *T* . . .
{she enjoyed calling to our attention the fact that
"miss hannigan is not modest"}

. . . she managed to locate
& step in every puddle . . .
{thanks to all the winter lawns}

. . . she looks a little tipsy here . . .
{you may remember that miss hannigan
had a thing for hitting the bottle}

. . . but i'm pretty sure this miss hannigan's
addiction is sugar . . .
{in the form of orange cupcakes}

{blue cotton candy}

{& lime green bubble gum}

. . . daddy warbucks
had a hard time "leaving it at the office" . . .
. . . apparently, he had an

important call to make. . .

. . . it must have been a very big deal . . .

. . . which took quite a while to seal . . .

. . . in fact, he could only
tear himself away
knowing that candy
was in his future . . .
{"I'm getting WHAT?"}

. . . then off he went . . .

. . . of all the other trick~or~treaters,
ghostrider took top honors . . .
{she's been working on this costume for four months
& did all the work on it herself - she's about thirteen}
. . . it was awesome . . .

. . . a cute GI joe . . .

. . . darling sisters . . .
{i like cute little trick~or~treaters the most}

. . . a glamorous butterfly . . .

. . . batman with beautiful eyes . . .

. . . did you know that
dora & diego
are cousins? . . .

. . . the entire cast of the flintstones . . .
{oh ~ except not dino} {quick correction - dino had removed her headware

and was thus not recognizable - she's the tiny one in the pinkish/purple}

. . . glitter dorothy . . .

. . . was apparently a big seller this year . . .

. . . have you ever seen a pumpkin fairy? . . .
{removing the wrapper before eating m&ms is highly over rated}

. . . a cowardly lion . . .
{you'd be afraid, too, if you'd seen his dad tonight}

. . . just plain groovy, man. . .

. . . eek! what a beak . . .

. . . pretty clever . . .
{although he said it just came from party city}

. . . WILD things. . .

. . . a teeny, tiny cinderella . . .
{who only weighed 2 1/2 pounds when she was born,
but is up to a whopping 9 1/2 pounds now at four months old}

. . . a blue-eyed ASU cheerleader . . .

. . . a black-eyed million dollar baby . . .

. . . one big happy family . . .

. . . can you tell they're sisters? . . .

. . . snow white & one of the
lesser known dwarves . . .

. . . wendy {in drag} . . .

. . . & one very wild zebra . . .

. . . we leave you with this thought . . .

{my children will be hearing me sing it

fake opera style in their heads!}

"tomorrow, tomorrow . . .

. . . it's November tomorrow"
{& he'll probably still be on the phone}

I am so glad you posted this! I love it. I love living back in the best neighborhood ever!!

I have gotta agree with the cutest kids "SLASH" best costumes...
The whole "Annie" crew was the cutest. I loved it.. including their matching personalities.

(no offense Dora & Diego, which was a close second.. ha ha)
I am so glad that Amber let be borrow DORA!! She has no idea how much it helped right now. I wish she could borrow Mary Poppins or something!!)

Cutest post!!

You...amaze...me. That was a quite entertaining post. Your neighborhood's Halloweens always rock my socks. You forgot to mention the couple who had a brand new 1-month old baby trick or treating for candy FOR the baby! Ha...whatever! Thanks for remembering the Napoleon comment. That was quite comical.

That's it! I'm coming home next Halloween! I was telling my husband how much fun it is to trick-or-treat in Harmony Park. Our neighborhood here has a bunch of elderly people so it was so boring. I was the only one out dancing around like a nut waiting for trick-or-treaters. Your blog made my Halloween all the better!

k, I've spent about an hour looking at your posts - I love your blog! I would have to agree that your grandkids had the cutest costumes, Dora and Diego were cute, but not really at the same time! I love that a teenage boy thought Addi was Napoleon. He's young enough to have probably never seen the movie Annie. From this post it looks like Amber's kids each played their character perfectly. I love the picture of Halleigh scrunching up her nose. She is so cute!
