. . . sound . . .
. . . generally speaking . . .
. . . i don't think anyone
pays too much attention
to prelude music . . .
. . . it's just background noise playing
before a church meeting begins . . .
. . . december has been
the exception . . .
. . . one push of
the organ stop labelled "chimes"
and folks take notice . . .
. . . i really can't believe
how many comments
i've gotten about it . . .
. . . christmas music is
especially conducive to bells . . .
. . . the melodies of "silent night",
"o little town of bethlehem",
"the first noel",
and "it came upon the midnight clear"
sound incredibly beautiful ringing
through the chapel . . .
. . . only a couple more sundays . . .
. . . i hope i don't run this novelty
into the ground! . . .
. . . smell . . .
. . . it was barely after sunup . . .
. . . jalapenos roasting
on an open fire . . .
. . . sort of . . .
. . . and aren't they festive? . . .
. . . my yard guy leaves
little ziploc bags
of these tiny peppers
on my front porch . . .
. . . it's been so warm
his plants are still producing . . .
. . . and can i tell you something? . . .
. . . they are teeny tiny,
but so hot and tasty . . .
. . . sight . . .
. . . the three amigos . ..
. . . sitting on the christmas box version
of russian matryoshka nesting dolls . . .
. . . you know ~
just watching the grinch . . .
. . . typical sunday stuff . . .
{and for the record: i wore a skirt to church today.
i always have. i always will.}

I have to say that I love the prelude music at church... It always feels so good to walk in and hear the organ each week!
Ps I guess I am really out of the loop...hadn't heard about the skirt/pants issue!
Sundays are especially special in December, I love the music :)
Your ornaments are such a treat, so tiny and perfect detail.
I'll pass on the peppers, gringo mouth here!
Have fun with your loved ones near, they make it that much better :)
And I too wore a dress...and pantyhose! No axe to grind here. I guess I don't get it?
