. . . say cheese . . .

. . . i either need a camera
with a faster shutter speed . . .
. . . or better timing myself . . .
. . . because this is only
about half as cheesy
as this baby can grin . . .
. . . picture even squintier eyes
and a scrunchier nose . . .
. . . it is hilarious in person,
trust me . . .
{and yes, his hair is definitely reddish}

. . . in other cheesy news . . .
. . . ever since
told me pregrated cheese
is coated with cellulose
{aka wood pulp}
to keep it from sticking together,
i definitely prefer
to grate my own . . .
. . . and i'm grateful {pun}
for this gadget i've had
for over thirty years . . .
. . . and yes, my kitchenaid is old . . .
. . . the color? almond . . .
. . . someday it will die
and i will get a shiny red one . . .
. . . i digress . . .

. . . five pounds of sharp cheddar . . .
. . . five pounds of mild cheddar . . .

. . . eight short minutes
from block to ziploc . . .
. . . two point five pounds per bag . . .
. . . exactly what i used to buy
already grated at costco . . .

. . . but it melts and tastes
soooo much better . . .

. . . makes my mouth water
just thinking about it . . .

I have got to get that attachment sometime in my life. But until then, my arm will keep getting a good workout!

Oh, my. I just got homesick looking at that cheeseball. Cutest thing ever! And, yes, there is a world difference in pre-shredded and freshly grated cheese. Fresh takes the cake any day.

Your grandson is ADORABLE! I too owned a yellow kitchen aide, they never die, you might be waiting a long time for your red one. I gave mine to a sister when David bought me my professional one.

Hmnnn...another thing bad I've been ingesting for awhile. I'm hoping the Diet Coke I drink kills the wood pulp...and anything else that may be hidden in products I buy to make my life easier. I thought it was lots of work just opening the huge bag of grated cheese and diving it into the quart freezer bags....but you know me.
