. . . i really needed a new project . . .
{insert sarcasm here}
. . . but i just couldn't help myself . . .
. . . when i saw the tutorial
on lori's blog . . .
. . . i totally caved . . .
{especially after i made a comment on her post
and she replied ~ encouraging me to join in the fun}
. . . so ~ with a few
vintage modern scraps
from the top of the pile . . .
. . . and about an hour later . . .
. . . here's block number one
of the great granny along . . .
. . . lori made her blocks
bigger than most i've seen . . .
. . . four generations
instead of three . . .
. . . she named each row . . .
. . . the baby is in the center . . .
. . . followed by the mama round . . .
. . . the granny round . . .
. . . and the great granny round . . .
. . . i have a feeling that the title
of whatever my blocks become
will include grammy . . .
. . . because that's
just how we roll around here . . .

Well your blocks are officially called the GREAT GRAMMY blocks!!!...
I love it so much Stephanie:)... And I'm so glad you decided to play!
I know... you bring your blocks on the 25th, and I'll bring mine, and we can have a great granny party.
LOVE it! What a wonderful block!
I wanna play too, but alas I am knee deep in, well other stuff. And you know I have scraps,eh? I love the Grammy blocks the way you did them especially and what? Lori Holt is commenting on your blog, girl!!! I face east when I speak her quilt-y name. Very fun post and all the links were, well, distracting, deliciously!
