. . . one proud mama . . .

. . . i spent saturday morning
with my three daughters . . .
{and one tiny grandson}
. . . daughter number one
~ amber ~
had been asked
by her aunt
to speak to the cute girls
in her stake
at a primary activity day . . .
. . . her topic was
{something to the effect of}
"how i hear the voice of christ" . . .
. . . {seemingly} an ironic subject
since she can't hear,
right? . . .
. . . totally wrong . . .
. . . she hears that voice
just fine, thank you . . .

. . . she is an inspiration to many . . .
. . . and i'm really, really,
really proud of her . . .

. . . i'm also proud
of daughter number two
~ amanda ~
who was amber's voice
during this presentation . . .
. . . she injects
lots of inflection
and personality . . .

. . . the interpreting/voicing
could just as easily have been done
by daughter number three
~ amelia ~
but she had her hands full that day
chasing this little busy body . . .

. . . amber teaches
sign language classes . . .
. . . amanda and amelia
are interpreters
by profession . . .
. . . i think they're all amazing . . .

. . . as part of her presentation,
amber was asked
to teach the third verse
of this primary song
in sign language
to the girls . . .
. . . it was lovely to watch . . .
. . . the girls picked it up
so quickly . . .

. . . seeing the words
"if i listen with my heart"
gave new meaning
to these lyrics . . .
. . . my assignment was
to accompany
on the piano . . .
. . . a task made much more difficult
by the tears in my eyes . . .
. . . i'm so proud of my girls . . .

{but it's a righteous pride ~ so it's totally okay!}

This is so very sweet & brought tears to my eyes. You do have amazing daughters! I love them & I'm so grateful that I had the privilege of working with all three {some longer than the other} but nonetheless so glad that I did!

What beautiful daughters. They look very much like you. I can understand why you are so proud of them and the example they are to the YW.

Amber has always been my hero. I love her. Watching her struggle through the years and see what she's fought through to become the beautiful young lady she is today is amazing. I don't think I could have sat through that class with a dry eye. So wonderful that you have all embraced signing and can communicate so easily to her. Even more amazing to me is that she does not shy away from anything or any task or any assignment, including motherhood. I love her, you, and your sweet girls....(well MiMi isn't always so sweet, but I love her big time...j/k)
Those young women were certainly blessed by getting to attend that day.

First, what is my hair doing?! Ew...second, like I said in my talk, I've been extremely blessed with a great family with you & Dad as my parents. Thank you for allowing sign language to be a part of our lives for me. And I love you, too, Sheena.
