. . . it has seriously been a month
since i worked
on anything quiltish . . .
. . . which is far too long . . .
. . . so - oh, boy - was i ever happy
to go to quilt group yesterday . . .
. . . i looked forward
to putting together
row five of lori's row along . . .
. . . a row she calls flying geese . . .
. . . i must say, though,
that is false advertising . . .
. . . these are most certainly
flying goslings . . .
. . . they are miniscule . . .
. . . tiny, tiny babies . . .
. . . each unit finishing
at a mere 1"x2.5" . . .
. . . here they are all lined up
and flying . . .
. . . i'd say more east
than south . . .
. . . and here's a peek
at the five rows i've finished . . .
{creases and all}
. . . let's not talk about
the two additional rows
that i have fallen behind . . .
. . . i am definitely
going to love this quilt . . .
{total number of pieces in row 5: 144}
{total number of pieces in rows 1-5: 572}
. . . and yes, i really counted . . .

Look how wonderful they all look together! Now that they are all together, how do you feel about Lori's technique for making the geese compared to other methods?
